Oh. I done tests about 4 days ago and ammonia was perfect but nitrates and nitrite not so good.. they weren't terrible but definitely not perfect.. i will do a 50% water change tomorrow and clean filters as well as adding good bacteria.. hopefully that will help.. thisbis my 1st ever pond which has been up and running since march..harder than i expected keeping a pond.
Dropsey is usually caused by poor water conditions. Once a fish gets to that point, it will not live long.

@Snoopes2008 Just for the record, please tell us a little about your pond situation. It appears you also have koi, and @mrsclem brings up a good point by mentioning water quality. Dropsy can be caused by bacterial or parasitic infections that may or may not be contagious, but in general, water quality is the base cause for almost all illnesses. It’s a good place to start.

How big is your pond and how many fish (koi, goldfish, other critters) do you have? What type of filtration do you have, and how long has your pond been up and running?

Please tell us the actual results of each test.
