so this picture shows the beginning of the garden last year

Then in the middle of summer last year ...

Then you see part of this year garden and the bog and also the starting of straw bale garden

part of the vegetables I got already this year

and my ducks and chickens enjoying outside of their run.

I keep chickens (I have many...we're only supposed to have 6, but how can 6 chickens feed 6 people, including 3 growing boys? )and I have a garden-tomatoes, eggplant, peppers and I'm putting in the cucumbers today or tomorrow.
The chickens are only 2 months old-my last herd was killed by raccoons-with some help from a bitter and nasty ex husband, so I had to start over!

not working for me The plants I planted since middle of April still only an inch or two tall, some I have to keep re-seeding because it just stop growing and stood there for a few weeks then die. Mostly tomatoes. I read that plant not growing can be from not enough nutrient so I put more fertilizer in and they started growing a little now (still about 2 inches tall). But the wild tomato seeds from last year tomatoes already 2 feet high and flowering, eventhough it stated to grow later!

This area (above) I get to totally do myself, expenses paid. Its going to be an English style garden, took me 1 week total to draw out the design of it. Much like a Dutch Aquascape. So im going to a before & after photo, here's the before!

Just cleaned the rabbits homes today! Gotta put the buckets back underneath them, brown gold!

Tilled the garden, took up almost all the soil we could, took rocks out of it, put it back. Then tilled again, in this order 2x.

Hey look what I found, "made in the USA" (this is from 1948 though which is pretty cool)

idk why but I just love, (the above pic) this tiny little 6x6 foot area of the garden so much. Idk why.
