Thats why I bought the small generator I did .They are so handy I cannot believe I did without one this long .We never loose our electric here for more than an hour but you really never know .I used the pond 02 product it is supposed to help with the oxygen in the pond water and in an emergency you use what you have and the resources at hand .With water changes if your electrics out you have no water on a well .

There should at least be live bacteria on the tank walls. They will help seed the filter.

Under optimal conditions, Nitrosomonas may double every 7 hours and Nitrobacter every 13 hours. More realistically, they will double every 15-20 hours.

If an aquarium is fairly optimal environment and I think it is. It should bounce back without too much help.

Ok, looks like I am ok for now. Lost some minnows in a 10 gallon tank, but everything else is ok so far. Will have to watch the water readings though.

malak check out big als online they sell an air stone that delivers air with no pump for a whole month .Wishing they made one for ponds really cheap too
