New pond build info.

If you do decide to buy and add some, get them from someone local, That way they will more than likely survive your area, problem is you'll probably end up only being able to buy tadpoles and let them grow in your pond so no real way of knowing what your adding. But if you have splashing water any local frogs will find you. Believe me, they are around, and they will find water!

the frogs moved in as soon as we put water in the pond last year, it was not running, no plants no fish but had frogs!

I get very few frogs but that's cuz my neighbor has a bigger shallower pond that attracts them by the tons..............bah humbug :lol:

That's funny addy but he has a fortress over there trying to keep the heron out. He has electric wiring, netting, fencing..............I'd prolly get electrocuted and fall in the pond and get all wrapped up in the netting and he'd find me in there in the morning :lol:

What I need to do is build a bog w/ an attachment of some shallower water where just the frogs can hang out. My brain is working on this but my body is resisting :lol:
