It happens quite frequently. Southern Alaska is warmer than people realize.
With the year by year slow increase in sea temps, the denser warmer air mass over them extends further North, forming a barrier to the jet stream, buckling it a lot at times.
Swinging warmer air into the arctic and colder -100°f air is displaced, wobbling over the continents.
Might as well get used to more extreme weather....

We as humans are to blame .The new info is targeted at ocean liners and airplanes .Shipping and cruise ships being 1 of the worst polluters airplanes are up there also .Thing is they blame vehicles on the road and they are not even the number 1 polluter .They had a show here on the eco channel.They had some great info on it also for homeowners .I wrote down some of it .They even talked about this equipment they use in the desert to give people water .It pulls moisture from the air to give them water .It is expensive but at a cost to plants and the weather .
