The UV light needs to be attached to the output side of the pump. That's really all that's important. To attach it you need to get the proper sized PVC fittings , I would suggest that you take the pump and light to Home Depot and let them pick out the parts you need. The pump is 1/2" and depending on the light it could be 3/4" for the 10 watt model which is probably what you have. It doesn't matter which side of the light that you connect to the output side of the pump as long as the water gets through the light. The decision you need to make is how far from the pump do you want the light. Then get some plastic pipe or tubing or even a garden hose and put the proper sized fitting on each end. Connect one end to the pump and one end to the light. Next where do you want the water pumped to? Once you decide that put a piece of tubing or hose on the other end of the UV light and direct it to where you want the water to go.

Any problems just get back to us at the forum. One thing if you go with a garden hose it has to be a 3/4" one and you have to cut off both ends or get a special connector because hose ends have a different threads than pipe thread,

I sure will thanks again I think I might use the other end for a waterfall of something instead of just having a hose run down the pond I think I can do that.

Hey it's no bother that is what the forum is for, It doesn't matter which end of the UV light you attach to the output side of the pump to either end will work. All you are doing is pumping water over the light bulb inside the UV light.

Thanks that's what I did but I think I have to return it back to the store cause I don't think it's working.

There is a ring on the outside wit a light that lights up when water is going through and it seems to not be working so I guess will see what happens thanks again for everything.

Are you sure that the ring of light is suppose to show that water is going through it? Normally the light is suppose to show that the bulb is working. The light is very hard to see in the daylight so look at it in the dark to be sure. If water wasn't going through it then you could tell by looking at the discharge side of the light. By the way is your pond green? If so and if the light is working it should clear up in a few days.
