We hiked the summit of the highest peak on Antelope Island last weekend. Its in the middle of the Great Salt Lake and is a low (under 7000 feet above sea level) elevation summit making it a good fall/spring hike.

One of my hobbies when it gets cold out is drawing. I don't do it a lot, but every once in awhile I do. I used to do pencil drawings and shadings, but it takes so much time and concentration that it seemed more stressful than fun so I haven't done it in years. Most recently, I've been doing cartoon drawings. From there, I transfer it onto my computer and colorize it and add text. I combine it with my passion for nature and create pro-nature, pro-habitat, and pro-wildlife drawings. It's a fun process and considerably more enjoyable than the detailed drawings of people and planes that I used to do. I can't remember if I shared the two drawings I did in January featuring Charlie Brown and Mickey Mouse. I probably did, but can't remember that far back, so here they are.

Yesterday, I created a new one featuring Woody Woodpecker.

You are quite creative @JBtheExplorer
My grand-daughter is very good at drawing and most any kind of artistic work also. Wish she would use it in a profession of some sort.

Turning a hobby you like into a career often makes the thing you like less enjoyable and more stressful. Some people can do it, but others just don't want to ruin it for themselves.

Would be fun to get a book out there w/your drawings in it for the little nature lovers. Guess you would have to get permission from all the original artists of those characters tho or make you own animals. Sell them in specialty stores or in National Forest Campgrounds tourist stores etc.

I've considered making my own character. Never settled on what type of animal it would be.

Now that hunting season is over, it's safe to retrieve some pictures from our trailcams which are about 200 yards north of our house:

There's a healthy timberwolf in this picture if you can find it. It's just a little to the center right.
