Wow would love a place like that to hike, here the woods are totally vine covered, tons of undergrowth.

Found a small patch of Sweet Woodruff in the woods. I have it by my pond so I recognized it right away. Its not native so I wonder how it got there.

First little one seen this year..........I always have tons of egg cases. When grooming for the fall watch out for them.View attachment 70278

Wow, that is so cool! I've only ever seen two in my life. I do wish they were a little more common around here. Never seen one that small, though!

It was around 1/2 inch long, and darn fast. We have tons of them, I really am careful to save any egg cases I find when cutting plants down.
That is a dandelion leaf it is on

I looked really hard w/my glasses on and sure can't even see it in this photo. Is it that brown spot on the center leaf to the right a bit?

This year seems to be a great year for migratory birds around here. I've seen tons of Northern Orioles.

Also seen tons of Hummingbirds and even a few Scarlet Tanagers.

Haven't seen any Orioles on my Oriole feeder. Hummingbirds enjoy it through, but they don't go to the hummingbird feeder. (even though its the same food, just a red feeder)

and here's a House Sparrow after getting a drink from my bog.

Gosh addy thanks and I would have never found that on my own :geek:
They are tiny when they first show up. We have tons of egg cases. I was wondering how they would do over winter.
