Trust me my friend I think this koi will have alot of problems it dried out think of the damage the sun has done , think how long it takes to cook a piece of fish (not long).

You're probably right Dave. I just wanted to give him some hope but point out that the fish needs time to recover. It may have been well shaded in the cinder block hole. But yeah it was out for a long time!

No sun was involved! It was around Sunday! It was near night!
Just him being out, now he seems to be now accepted back Into the group he follows and is now eating. Looking good but a bit sluggish. Just might be a problem in the future..

You dont know exactly how long he was out of the pond do you Calvin he may have been in the sun they do flip about quite alott ?
Calvin just saying he's sluggish doesnt mean anything its niether here nor there is he having trouble or not ? Please describe exactly what you see whether he driend out in the sun or not the damage will most probably be permanent .
Is he swimming off to one side all of the time or is he starting to bend ?

Holy crap, you're definitely a glass-half-empty, doom and gloom kinda guy, huh? Just reading your posts, it sounds like he should get a net and scoop out the fish and flush it...

It was 30 minutes to an hour, during sunset or night time, I fed the fishes he was still in there, went inside and are dinner went out to work on my pond , that's when I worked on he side I saw him inside a brick. At first he was sluggish and segregated and sideways but now it's all normal. Just not as fast as when I first had him, maybe just need some more time! There was no sun on him! I know there might still be some negatives but let's pray for the best for the lil guy haha.

Max I'm not a doom and gloom sort of guy just a realist I had a half dried out koi brought to me in a bucket some years ago and dedicated months trying to repair the damage done the slowness of the koi worries me as it may indicate muscle damage beneath the scale the same as the koi I just mentioned .
I've 27 years experiance of koi keeping and my two oldest koi are that age perhaps a little more.
I ran a koi website for three yers until sadly the owner due to the state of the world ecomomy had to let the site go because he couldnt afford the payments on it.
During that time I hrlped many with fish health problems many their own making through a lack of education about their hobby I never try to give false hope and suggest good books that they can educate themselves with, from our large library collected again over 27 years :-

https://www.gardenpondforum.com/threads/our-fish-koi-health-library-with-reviews-of-each-book.10498/

You dont scoop fish up because they are ill and flush them infact you shouldnt dispose of them down the tiolet at all that is an irresposible attitude .
It is far better to euthanize fishin the manner weve describe in this threadf :-

https://www.gardenpondforum.com/threads/anethatizing-you-koi-goldfish-the-various-stages-of.10493/

I really hope it does get better but time will tell which way this goes
