I know the Banana's I chopped down are going to sprout up like crazy in the Spring. I will try to dig up some babies and move them to other places if I can find a spot for them. Might have to create a whole new garden bed for more kinds of plants. Can't just have a jungle of banana trees.
They need friends to compliment them

Remember to get cold hardy ones and don't plant them to close to the pond ,they love damp soil and lots of fertilizer .I will have to move more and the ones I potted up and put in the basement are growing and so is my desert rose plant .

Last year my one red banana looked dead but still came back nice eventually. Now the new green bananas look aweful and mostly dead. Going to hook up another fan to circulate air good and then give them Food and water. Sun is getting brighter but it sure was a lot of dark cold snowy days for awhile before Christmas. They are inside my greenhouse So they should not freeze.

I looked under my cover yesterday and was surprised there is no ice covering the pond. Actually some pieces of the water celery are still alive! I'm hopeful this is helpful for my koi....will be interesting to see how things go in the Spring when Iopen the pond up.
