I am going to have more thermal curtains for sure. Not to worry, all will be warm and cosy when I am done.

For now I found some black curtains for bottom lower half of old greenhouse side. The walls are not so high like the new section.

I'm just in love with my new green play house. Almost can't wait for big freeze and then I can move big bananas inside. I see on our weather forcast that first week in October says hard frost coming.
Got to find more warm thermal curtains and finish one more shelf.

It's getting colder every day now. Leaves are half off the trees now and Soon the trees will be bare. Then I will get lots of winter sunshine in my greenhouse, once the leaves are all gone. But with bare trees, there is much more danger of frost in the very near future.

Got the nets up last week over the ponds, and I have been so busy with work and everything I need to do in yard...
So much to do and time is running out. Soon winter will be here.

This year I plan on making a cold plastic frame over the top two ponds. I think it really helps hold on the heat and seemed to work good last year on that one pond. Will keep everybody updated when I get it created. Should just do one this week....

Success!! Got that biggest red banana safely inside new section of greenhouse!! Just have to get smaller green banana in before next week. I had to trim back some of the bottom leaves and trimmed some of the longer sections. Wow it sure looks great and now green house has that tropical feel!

I let the pot go dry so it would be lighter to drag on all by myself. Then I dug small hole and so it sits a few inches below ground.
Mad about my super sweet greenhouse. I am so proud of my greenhouse. Feels good to get it done before big freeze. Let it snow! :)

you know colleen you can trim away the edges of the leaves on a banana plant and it will not harm it .You can even take more leaves off it as long as there are 1 or 2 it is fine .<ine de back over the winter and I put extra mulch on them and a black plastic garbage bag to help retain heat .
