I have not yet decided on pumps. I have seen others have pots with water and the roots of the plants seem to keep the water clean. Plus I think I will throw a few mosquito fish from my pond in the water pots to keep any creepy crawlies away. But the pot village location is a south facing wall with full sun and I could easily add some small solar pumps to move the water. I think I might wait to see how they go.

I see that but why does it say banned under and over his avatar? Does he just have a guilt complex and it's like giving himself a lashing before he gets thrown out...........oh almost forgot the EH?

That plant collection looks great. I am late in seeing this thread and is too late now but you could always get some of that rubber type paint that seals holes and spray on the inside if the pots are porous as some clay ones are.

Great job. I wish I could find a pot that big that you were going to put your lotus in.

Those are lovely. I just love calla lilies, anxious to see how many of mine come back this year. Especially the dark purple ones.

what happened to the Lotus? Is it maybe not warm enough yet?

I ordered it online thinking it was dormant. It was not, had a couple leaves on it. I had the pot filled and ready so I planted it. It was still freezing at knight though so I covered the pot with clear plastic and dropped a fish tank heater in it to try and get it past the cold snaps. It was struggling but alive, then my dear sweet husband decided to build a work bench out of reclaimed stained wood. He sanded it on the back patio without knowing it he filled the lotus pot with a mix of saw dust and old stain that he had sanded off the wood :( I tried to skim it out but there was too much. I ended up having to flush the pot by putting the hose in and letting all the floating debris flood out over the top. The lotus was already struggling and that pretty much did it in. I actually left it in the pot thinking there might be a chance but who knows.

Mine just started pushing up leaves, we are between 60-70 day, 36-57 night, take your pick. Very cool spring compared to others.
