Oh ok then if it's a toss up guess you gotta drive the trip yourself now and then for your fishies :regular_waving_emot

Oh, I wouldn't ask addy1 to do that. I can't even ask the next door neighbors.

So, how often do I need to feed them? Do I have to worry about how hot it gets?

Thanks! :regular_waving_emot

Well it sounds as if the filtration is running, so there is water movement. They most likely have been in the pond for a while, so they most likely will be ok with the heat.

But in saying that I have gold fish, and shubunkins you don't have to worry as much about them.

If there are only two in the pond they will feed off what is in the pond, i seriously doubt they will starve in a two or even three week period of time, I would be more worried about someone feeding and over feeding than starvation. If you can feed once a week until you get settled in and get used to running the pond some you should be fine, make sure the filtration stays running and plenty of air, that is far more of a concern than starving.

Hi 2 unplanned kois and welcome! yes fishin is right there is plenty for them to eat already in the pond. Many of us have unplanned koi and goldfish too. I had two surprise fry last year that are doing great now!

Thank you all so much. That is great to know I do not have to worry about them starving and now I am aware how crucial that water fountain is. It's not just for ambience!
I have asked my agent for some instructions from the seller on what he has been doing to maintain the pond. Hopefully I will get that. If not, there is plenty of info right here. Thanks so much!

The best thing you could get from the previous owner, would be the size (gallons), depth, type of filter, where everything is located.....etc
