There are days my pond looks amazing and days that it looks like I just filled it the day before. A added a bog to my pond a month ago and now the water pretty much stays the same. I did have some string algae earlier this year before the bog, but since the bog algae has been pretty minimal.

i should have done that instead of a raised garden beside mine... hindsight..there's always later!

Glad to hear it is working for you. I never even think of my pond water or algae (none), it just takes care of itself.
