Stone Dust: What It Is, Uses, and Where to Buy It
Where can you buy stone dust? You've heard of using it with pavers as a setting bed. This intro explains what it is, how to use it, and how to buy it.www.thespruce.com

MDPE is incrdibly strong stuff. Big advantage of it over HDPE or fibreglass is that it has a degree of flexibility which allows it to shrink and expand with changes of pressures and temperatures. Farm next door has some huge 25000 litre tanks which have survived for years now.I read about the MDPE and sounds like it is strong stuff. I would be concerned about getting it level and no voids like @GBBUDD stated. I would also be concerned about pockets, underground shifting due to time, ground water seepage, etc. Once it is in, it is in and that would be hard to correct. A liner just goes w/the flow and settles w/all the shifts. I know some on here have used solid items to hold fish in and seems as tho they all somehow fall out of level eventually. I think the larger tho, like swimming pool size must work as lots of people have swimming pools that don't seem to go out of level that I know of anyways. Maybe cuz they are so large and heavy? Not sure how heavy a pool would need to be to not shift at all.

I don't think you can compare a 25000 gallon farm holding tank to that of a home depot preform tub/ pond. We use mdre for waterline out in the middle of coal country to transport water and yes it has a degree of flexibility to it but the walls are also an inch thick or more. So it's more a question of quality over product in this case.MDPE is incrdibly strong stuff.
