Most Expensive fish you or someone you know has paid

I agree with koikeeper, my koi are mutts, but to me they're champions.

Someone told me a story about a guy that bought a koi for 10K...the koi died,
and the poor guy was so upset that he couldn't part with the fish, so he kept him
in the freezer. :faint:

When he had guests, he'd open the freezer and show them
his prize Koi. :fish: true story....

I did my mother in law like that..........j/k

My 2 large butterfly koi ( now over 2' long) were purchased as goldfish for $2.25 each. The store now has people that now know the difference! I have paid $150. for a ghost koi.
