Salt creep is caused by splashing, so you'll need to eliminate whatever is causing that.
If you have a hang on the back filter, replace it with a small canister filter.
If you're using an airstone, stop using it. Replace it with a small powerhead pointed at the surface.

Oh, thanks for the pointers, Mitch. Yes, I have a hang on the back filter AND an airstone. Have a power head, actually two, so will exchange them for the airstone, and look into a canister filter. :blueflower:
