Just wandered out to the pond - they are more active than I have ever seen them on February 1. The ice is gone (again) and they are all low, but definitely swimming and poking around.
Mid winter ice melt and active fish.

Mine are all together at the bottom, they are moving a bit but not much at all, there is very little ice around the waterfalls.
I can't wait until Spring, I miss interacting with my fish
