lol it happens comet...........hijacking. Threads are like a conversation, they wander and get yanked back.
You could do the new liner, lay some of your old liner in a part of your new pond to help the bio start up again. Keep the old liner in some pond water while working on it.

No problem . A thread goes in the direction that it should . If the orgional post leads somewhere else and gets people sharing thoughts and ideas it's all good .

Thanks Jupiter, Addy that is a really good idea about using the old liner. I was already going to save as much of the current pond water and naturally keep my bio-filter working with the temporary digs for the fish, but I hadn't thought about cutting up the old liner and putting it in the new one. It's a really smart idea and a simple solution to the problem I have been struggling with. I did not want to start with everything brand new in the middle of the summer. Thank you!
