pee wee loves children but I have to careful as children can be rough with his size and injure them easly.Small children should be supervised around small breed dogs as the dog when injured by a small child will see all small children as someone who will injure them .The lady Judy's husband may be transferred overseas and she has heard so many horror stories and she does not want to put teeny through it .They will be going to switzerland also ,not the best place for a chihuahua for 4 years or more .Not sure why I did not ask .They have not gotten final word yet.I was going to buy teeny that day too and decided not too .She had him fixed also .

I'm really anxious to get my Lotus seeds started, they are patiently waiting on my laundry room shelf. But, I don't want to start them too early, when the weather is still too chilly, so am going to try to force myself to wait until at least May 1. That way, going by the site you posted here, Joann, and what I've read on the other Lotus site on GPF, they should be ready to be planted into a large tub when the weather is much warmer. It's very windy where I live here, so will hopefully avoid some of the spring storms and have them ready to be outside in June. VERY anxious to get them going and watching the babies emerge.

Awwww Dante is adorable!!!
Here is my brindle Boston, Denali, sleeping in the recliner with her best friend, Tarzan the cat. They were both born 2 summer ago and raised together, so they are buddies. In fact, this is the cat that fetches. Tarzan wanted to play, too, one day so figured out the fetch game. :)

Here she is with 2 of the pups from a litter 2 summers ago, so they are the same age as her.

OK, Joann, do you have a thread with pics of your pond, cause I want to see more! Wow, is that gorgeous behind Max. I don't think I've seen your pond pics. Please let me know how to search or find where you have (hopefully) posted pictures. I need a pond fix with flowers this morning, although I should be outside in the sunshine. Going to get inside stuff done first, then head outside this afternoon.

Really neat videos, Joann. Now, I have to ask, how did you get those beautiful bird sounds on the first and last video, and why didn't you hire them for your video last year? :) The sounds were wonderful, and I love the numerous waterfall features you have. It seems you have more shade than I do, well everyone does unless you have full sun, and I sometimes wish part of my pond area was more shaded so I could also have shade loving plants. But, then I have to remind myself others with shade wish they had more sun, so I need to suck it up and enjoy my sun loving plants. At least my pond is on the east side of my house, so it does get shade late in the day, when the sun is below the roof of the house.
Now, I have to ask. I saw 2 fish in both the first and last video, and maybe it was a play on the light, but they seemed to be kind of creamy yellow in color, but all of their fins looked to be dark peach or maybe orange/red colored. Was I dreaming, or do you have fish like that? Also, they looked to be somewhat different body style than your gorgeous butterfly koi, so maybe they are regular fin koi? I also loved that little tri-colored guy in the second video. Is he/she a baby from your koi, or did you buy him? He was in the 2011 video.
Thanks for sharing! And, yes, I saw your lotus plants! Your gardens in and around your pond are to die for! I can't wait to see how my plantings grow this season, since I didn't get most of my plants in the pond until July and around the pond about the same time. I'm hoping most if not all of the perennials come back beautifully! It's always fun watching them come back to life in the spring. Already have hyacinths and tulips and daffodils that have been fooled by our warm temps on and off, but they should be ok to go through some more freezing weather, at least I've seen them do this before and still grow and bloom. :)

Country, the birds are always singing in our yard...we have several feeders and bird houses...
We also have a coopers hawk, that swings by often, so I suspect he was around when I shot
the 'quiet video' ...as soon as the yard is dead quiet we know he's hanging about...
I have a pic of him, when he caught one of my birds. :(

The fish you are referring to is 'spun gold' she is bright gold, that why I named her spun gold...
she was born in our pond.

We don't have enough sun in our yard, so it's difficult to grow roses, but that doesn't stop my
head groundskeeper (he also is my husband) from trying to grow roses. He put in a lot of
knock-out roses and they do great.

Joann, are you talking about Spun Gold being the one with the red fins? If so, I was sure there were two of them. :) I also like your white with black and red spots fish. I love the tri colored ones (either Sanke or Showa, depending on body's base color, I think). I also love butterfly fins. And, I recently bought several Gin Rin (reflective scales) koi, too!

Nope. Look at your first video, stop it at 2:56. One of the fish that I'm referring to is on the left of the screen, looks a butter color (not really yellow, more creamy) with red fins. It swims away, and then if you stop it at 3:08, you will see the other one that looks identical, in the middle of the screen. I have a feeling it's just a play on the light and the pond water, but I studied it over and over and kept seeing the same thing. LOL They both look to be regular fin, not the butterfly fins. Sorry, I'm anal! LOL
