lol when they said 20 x 50 I was thinking feet as I have not read the entire post but I belive now they are talking a bath tub . Which is an idea for you keep your eyes open for an old bath tub and bury it.
Op from 2013 was planning that route. New posters area is 30x40 + 4x40.

OP tagged his post onto one from 7 years ago. I think the dimensions are different.

So it’s in work. It modifies a little as we go. I am liking how nice the clay is going down. Figured I would give some pictures so it better gives an idea. The island is just framed out and will be filled with topsoil and I think the walls need to be a little taller. Siempre Gumby. Always flexible.

as always I am open to advice and new ideas. It’s not a small project but I think it’s developing nicely.

At least I don’t have to worry about shifting lol. What you don’t see is the Depth was not by choice, I couldn’t go deeper. Under the entire pond is a huge boulder. Not sure how big but it’s as big as the pond for sure. But it gives a solid foundation.

Thank you for sharing.

Interesting, but can’t figure out how you are going to get any depth. Also, in a few pics it looks like I saw pieces of metal — be sure you get that all out.

Oh yeah it wasn’t done at that point. I still raked after that then ran a magnet over the area and then spent a lot of time with a leaf blower lol. Af far as depth at the deepest it’s 3-4 ft. This isn’t a fishing pond although it will have fish. It’s enough for the water fowl (ducks and geese and I would like to get a pair of swans). I mainly took those pics because my dad was telling me to dig it deeper like a swimming pool, I was showing him that wasn’t feasible and that this is as deep as it can be.
