here in the NW they are already up. about 10-15 leaves on the surface so far and are planted about 3 feet down.

I saw someone in Portland (craig's list) selling water hyacinth for $1 ea. They kept them in their heated greenhouse over the winter and now have to many to handle. They were huge, but still too cold for me to put out. Maybe they would ship?
