Well the plant in the right hand corner looks like an Iris. It can be submerged or let it dry out in a heated garage for the winter and it will come back in the spring. The one on the right closest in the picture. Not sure what it is. Almost looks like an ornamental grass. Most likely it will not survive outside in a pot. And since it looks like a marginal, submerging it might not be the best over winter for it. So I would think it will need to come in. The one in the back of the picture almost looks like some type of papyrus. Once again it looks like it is planted as a marginal. It may have to come in also. Some Papyrus are very tolerant of cold. But if the roots freeze it could be done.
I do not see any pickerel rush in there. I am attaching a picture of it from the web.

Just out of curiosity, which one other than the hyacinth blooms purple?

if you've got pond iris' you dont have to do a thing with them mine grow bare root and get frozen in the ice every year...iris's produce an enzime that prevents their roots from freezing! just cut the foliage down to about 2" above the root ball.

The Pickeral has a cone-type flower that also is purple. It developes at the base of a leaf and tiny purple flowers develop on the cone. Mine has bloomed possibly 3X this past summer. :claphands:
