Thanks. Been a pleasure for me discussing this also.
Tonight I was reading another Koiphen thread of guy trying to clear a pond. He built a sand filter which is the hot filter there these days. He posted a picture of clearer water and a guy posts:
"Your last post and pictures are a real testimonial for the value of the S&G filters. Pictures are worth 1,000 words. If these don't prove a point for newbies, I don't know what will."
To which the guy says, yeah, but I hadn't started my filter when the picture was taken. And he attributes the clearing to the "plants" removing nitrogen which of course he didn't measure. Plants bring macroalgae. I just keep running into this, maybe I'm just looking for it.
