yeah that was worrying me too - i had a natural pool guy pop by today to see what he thinks and he said epdm the inside of the pond. (like you) but instead of another row on top, fixing the epdm to an aliminium band that runs inside the pool, below the current wall top. (this is possible because the waterfall doesn't allow for pool to be completely full anyway). sigh - the bad news is COST! yikes. double what it cost to build the darn thing in the first place.

Even if he spends a lot of time trying to take out as many wrinkles as possible your still only looking at a days work. a 15 x 15 liner is $300 the termination strips won't be more than 100 bucks and stainless tapcons if they even make them 100 bucks. you may need fabric underlayment 75 bucks thats 575 just in materials IF you need a 15 x15 loose your shirt numbers for handy man is materials x 2 = .... And a smart buisness man is materials x 3
yup - the pool originally cost me +/- 1000 $ to build, all in. This would cost another 1500 $. But then at least its done. Another option potentially is pool seal (liquid pool sealer) https://www.cemcrete.co.za/pool-sealer.html ??
