i believe you are right that the 27% volume kind is from the hair coloring section. I am like you, and lean toward the brown bottle pharma kind.

Will the Peroxide damage your plants? Don't want to make that mistake again like I did with Baking Soda.

Another thing, if you are putting plants in, DON"T use potting soil or any other soil for that matter. It'll just decal and feed the algae. You'd be putting into your pond what you are trying to filter out.
