you can but no need to . The foam directs the flow a bit but it is does not stop water from seeping out. I did some foaming so the water would go over the rocks vs flow down the rock and under before going down the water fall.

For water flow i user aquarium silicone and some rocks...the foam was to give more stability...

I used some foam years ago(10), it is still working and stuck to the rocks.

Got new plants for the border...

The BIG part is done...now i will wait the end of winter for palustris/marginal plants...need install the net and put some soil neanche the fece, but im happy of the result.
