Is something eating my water lilies?

Those look like black marsh turtles.

Indeed apparently that’s what they are. Would they eat water lilies?

And they would swim in to eat the lilies ???

Yes and they could clear a pond that size in quick manner. Here's a video.

Well it seems I would have seen that swimming in my pond. I never did. Also it seems he took the whole lead with him. What I saw was bite marks and tear marks on the leaves.

Just saying and I'm pretty sure they work nights as well. Plus the turtles paid me to say it.
