beware of using those big mussles, if one should die it's hard to tell and they can spoil the water as there is a large amount of decaying matter in the shell of those big guys, with clams asmall mussels and snails one dying will not affect the water nearly as bad, also it's not a bad idea if your going to use a mussel or clam from the wild that you place it in a seperate container for several days to allow all the contents to empty and clean out before adding to the pond.taherrmann4 said:I wonder if you could get mussels from a lake and put them in a pot like that? How big are your clams and where did you get them?
