today/ what is the plant in the last pic

Sissy that is a Zamia, you water it once a month or so, likes to dry out between waterings.

Here is what mine looks like, I hauled it from arizona, refused to leave it behind

how old is your plant because these were pretty big and the stems felt squishy when you pinched them like they were storing lots of water

I got it sometime before 2000, moved it to two different houses in arizona, then hauled it east. So maybe 15 years old or so. It gets white flowers. It did outgrow its first pot, this is the second pot. We had to smash the pot to remove it, nothing but roots.

From pot up the branches are about 3 foot tall. Takes up room, but love the look of it.

Then guessing it is just a house plant for this area .I was looking at there clumping black bamboo .They have one pond in there big pond there .It looks so pretty and is not invasive .They said they have had it in the pond in the same pot for 3 years

It is just a house plant, but a neat one. Clumping bamboo would look really neat in the pond. Take some pictures if you get it.
