Intake Bay skimmer prior to bog?

I'm planning to do this too - use an intake bay as the skimmer, housing the pump which will flow up to a bog. It's great to see your pictures!

thanks guys and yes the Butterfly Koi is 24 in long. Hope he doesn't get any bigger lol
