indoor pond?

i wanted to have a couple of koi but I dont think it is possible i think u need at least 500 gallons? they are 3 ft

I am not sure what kind of birds they were some strange sounding name .I just happen to remember the set up.Koi would be no good as mine are 9 years old and are over 2 feet long .He had no fish in the bird area and birds could not get to the pond because it had a heavy duty plastic mesh over it .He used to own a garden center here and he sold and moved about 4 years ago .I used to buy plants from him .
