Addy, from what I've read, green frogs hibernate either on land OR in water, so be careful next autumn!

It is easy to tell the difference. The green guys have the ridges down the sides, the bullfrog none, just the big ridge around the ear area. They are very still, hardly even wiggle once the water is cold easy to hold and figure out.
