Just getting the top done and will post pics soon .I have to put the roof on and finish the light house door and windows .It turned out to be over 5 feet tall .I have it partially painted and the jar lid is drilled to hold the light .I think I want to make the light house keepers house also .It takes a little time to figure each cut out but will try to post some thing soon on the build

We got bad rain the other night but hear the winds will be bad also tomorrow so going to move and batten everything down .

We can handle the rain, if it doesn't dump a couple inches all at once. But wind, no way. We have had too many bad wind storms this summer already. Will have to prepare for power outage

We very seldom get power outages the last time was this past summer for 2 hours and the last one was the 2010 winter for 2 days .But I live up on a hillside exposed to winds and wind gusts up here are always worse because no trees to stop them from coming over the mountains .

you be safe, K? We were without power for 2 days back in June, that was enough for me. But we always keep the generator handy and gas.When those fronts blow thru, they can be bad sometimes. Hey,I miss addy, when she coming back?

I think you will get it worse than me so you better be safe as it is a really long line of storms and looks like it is going to dump a lot of water in some spots .

Well Geez Louise! I looked through all the pics, read some of the stuff, too, and saw that hand pump on the first page, and thought it was just a regular hand pump. I think you said you had it in the kitchen, maybe? Anyhow, I was looking for something that was bigger, more different looking. LOL But, enjoyed looking at your thread! And, glad your green water is leaving you alone. Funny you got the green so late in the year. Most often that's a common problem in the spring, when things get warm, before plants rebound after being frozen.

It is just a hand pump, was my Grandmothers. I have seen taller, and different shaped ones that are so cool, but very expensive at flea markets, etc. Oh funny thing about those pumps. I was in Lowes today scoping out the sump pump basins, and guess what they still sell for about 50 bucks? Yep, the same hand pumps. Who woulda thunk it. LOL
