Nice work, littlepond! My grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather were all stonemasons. They built most of the village where we lived back in the old country. My dad was pretty handy at it, but preferred to work with wood, and I followed in his footsteps. John

LittlePond,

You know that I Love your work so far. Great photos and explanations and fun! I wonder if you wouldn't mind me subjecting you to a bit of questioning, in fun, about Ireland?

What I am wondering is, do you remember Gilbert O'Sullivan? The singer/songwriter?

I ask because he has a few songs that I am very fond of and he is from Ireland. Yeah, this is OLD stuff, like in the mid to late 60's or early 70's. But, is it from the era when music was actually GOOD! Not like today when there is NO musical talent available whatsoever.

Two of his songs that were really popular here were "Alone Again, Naturally" and "A Very Extra-Ordinary Sort of Girl". Two of my favorites and probably his best mark on the US market. Most people here in the USA won't even know what I am refering to, but possibly you will. I just wanted to ask if you remembered him, it's not "pond" related obviously. So I won't carry on too long about it, but just wanted to ask if you recall his music (I thought it was very good).

I don't want to take this discussion too far away from your original theme, I just wanted to ask that simple question.

I thank you Whiskey for that link. There's something a bit sadly dramatic about that song, but I happen to like it. I think it is because he is just that good of a singer and the lyrics just make you think, intensely! Certainly that is not the only song that I liked from the era, there were so many others, but this one sticks out for some reason for me. The lyrics are PROFOUND and the music is excellent.

Littlepond,

Hope you don't mind that brief sidebar for the musical interlude. Just wanted to share it with you for a bit of fun.

I am enjoying watching your pond projects progress. They are looking gorgoeus, absolutely beautiful. You have quite a few great ideas and the hill where you placed the waterfall worked out wonderfully to your advantage. Not everyone has that opportunity. You are lucky in this regard and you made great use of the terrain.

Keep your pictures coming our way, very neat and they can help others, like me, to get ideas for our own setups.
