but how can her gf be that old, jw? I mean, she's not even 30 so unless she had her pond in her early teens, seems your fish will still be the oldest!;)

I think @callingcolleen1 is way over 30, nearer to in her mid 40's or so. She's been in the Army way back when and lived a good life. I think she is older than she looks. Am I going to be in trouble here. One never discusses age when concerning a lady, lol!
She's younger than I am, I know that but then most here are. I'm an oldie but goodie

Well thanks @brokensword for naming your prize goldie after me as I use 'Moby' as my forum name! The largest of my two Ghost Koi is around 25 years old as far as I'm aware :) Moby was bought as a £3 tiddler and a mere 3" in length. His slightly smaller pal Dick was given to us several years after and they've gone on to thrive whilst increasing in size many fold! Not to mention eating me out of house and home in their pond along with 22 assorted yellow comets, red comets, sarasas and shubunkins, plus golden and blue orfe.

I had to name her that as she always swims with the Queen's accent...

Have any current pics of YOUR Moby???

This gal survived my first fish install. The rest died due to a very low ph in the pond. So she has been around since summer 2010

View attachment 103963 Built the pond in 2013. Goldfish range from several months to 4 years old. Just added the koi in July . Until this year they fed only on what the pond offered. The biggest gf is around 7 inches. I started feeding when I added the koi . I'm curious to see how the younger gf grow compared to the original gf
Is that blue koi a "Doitsu Blue Gin Matsuba? It looks just like mine, only mine is not a butterfly

@brokensword, not particularly good pics but Moby is the larger of the two ghost Koi, Dick is the smaller. Would take a better pic of it was daylight outside, it's 23:11 currently and rather dark! :) I'll try some with the netting removed, if it ever stops raining :-(

Not sure. When I purchased them the guy who runs the pond area at the garden center wasn't there. The person who helped me told me to take pics and come back. I haven't had a chance to get back there. Hopefully this month I'll be able to find out the type of koi I have.
