highly technical question

All of my lilies were repotted last fall, no soil just a few stones to hold the root in the pot and then topped with plastic fencing wire strapped across the top to keep the koi out. Much lighter and easier to move around. No fertilizer and counted 15 blooms yesterday.

theres actually alot, including a number of people on ths forum who plant lillies in stones, pea gravel. which is bare root.. i plant mine in stones, have for years...they get blooms all season. not as many as fertilized maybe, but plenty enough for me.
