I just got my Boston Terrier bred, and was soooo excited to know that I would be home this time for her to have the puppies, thinking only of my daughter's wedding on July 1. Well, lo and behold, 9 weeks from today (due date) I will be in WI with all of my siblings getting together that weekend. OMG, this will be her third litter, and I have not been there for the first two either! First litter she went 4 or 5 days early (I got home 2 days later from vacation). Second litter my daughter decided a month before they were due to have surgery to remove hardware from her spine surgery 4 years prior. And, now this time, looks like I will be gone, unless she goes more than 2 days early. Second litter she went 2 days early. Ho hum ... she probably thinks I'm not supposed to be home! :(
And I want to see the pics of clear pond AND the new pug! :)

Poor CE you never get to see them hatched. Who watches the dogs while you are gone? Must be somebody who knows what to do in case of emergency to ease your mind while you are gone. And so far you have had no problems w/ her giving birth so that's good :)

How's you new pup doing MT? No pix yet?

It is actually VERY upsetting to me, especially when I realized it is likely going to happen again. I can't predict when she will come into heat, and the last time the stupid mutt shepherd mix dog bred her, so had to abort those pups and wait until this time. So, I wasn't going to forego getting her bred, but darn it, so depressing. It will be fine either way. My neighbor kids will be here to watch her. The youngest one is likely the new animal care giver for me this summer, and she will come by often to check on her, and then give me hourly reports after she starts giving birth. Yes, they were raised on a farm (the kids) and they know what to do in case of an emergency. So far she has never had any trouble giving birth. Only lost one puppy, it got under the bedding, but that was my fault, should have had her on flat surface, instead of fluffy. Lesson learned.

Will get some pictures of the pond and Nina the pug on here tomorrow night. She is just settling right into the family :). Today we took her with us over to my sons for my grandsons birthday and Easter dinner. Everyone was pretty amazed how she seemed to be so comfortable with us considering she's only been with us 3 days. The only thing I'm not liking about her right now is she wakes me up at 6:30 every morning so far. She doesn't cry she talks. Lol During the week that's good but on the weekend I like to sleep in. This morning she woke me up so I put her downstairs in our fenced yard and when I got up a couple hours later to take Roo my other dog out I opened the front door and there she was. She had dug a hole under the gate and got out I'm really SURPRISED she didn't take off. She's so cute, when I look at her she reminds me of the first movie the men in black, keep expecting the head to pop open and a little alien being in there:ROFLMAO:.

If I leave Smokey, the beagle, in the house at night, he comes to my bedroom door (it's closed) and whines really softly, waits, if no response, he does it again, until I wake up. Getting up to let him outside for the rest of the night at 1:30-3 a.m. was getting old, so now's it's "outside, it's bedtime" and they both head out. The Boston stays in her crate, and I swear she could potty twice a day and call it good. LOL

Here's a picture of my fish in their very clear pond :), can't wait to get in there this summer and redo two more sides of the pond so I can take more rocks out. Then theres Nina, whoops didn't notice her ear being back until now. lol She is doing great. I don't think she has ever been kenneled, but I put her in one at night and shes taking it well. These are two solar lights that I got this spring (on sale), love them! I'm sure they probably double marked them up before they put them on sale. LOL :ROFLMAO:

Wow, that's sure some crystal clear water, and love love LOVE your pug! How adorable.
You cannot have too many solar lights IMO, and those are some beauties! I tend to go for the cheaper ones, but now that I have a bunch, I need to "invest" in some of the nicer ones like you pictures. Love them!

My little Roo got srayed by pepe la pew a couple nights ago ! Thats so much fun dealing with a dog that got sprayed at midnight and having to keep washing them and still having to go to work. Got to bed about 3. Was EXHAUSTED!

Oh nasty and I never see any stinkers around here. Guess we don't have any. What happens if you leave the stink on the dog overnight and leave him outside in a crate or ? Just wondering if it embeds worse into their coats. What a bummer having to do that so late at night and then go to work. Did you cover yourself in perfume? Had a dog that got porcupine quills on his snout many years ago while camping in Eastern Washington. Hubby pulled them out w/ pliers, ouch

I think letting him go until the next day would of been worse. What I have read you need to care of it right away. The skunks spray is an oil and hard to get rid of. I want hubby to put a solar light out there so when I take the dogs out I can see if we have a visitor.

Yes it's always nice to see what's out there lurking before you take that 1st step out into the great beyond. Yikes you could have a cougar, bear or PePe La Pew out there again and I know you don't want to go through that again. One time would be too much for me
