I look at this way......a pond with fish is a beautiful thing....a net a bit unsightly.......a pond without fish, less beautiful.

I use a wide weave net...between that and my winter cover, my pond is covered 24/7 365 days a year.

@Marck we like to change things up a bit now and then, live on the sunny side of life :smuggrin:
I bet there are people out there who do have this kind of set up but I think they might go broke replenishing fish for them every day.

Perhaps, though feeder goldfish are inexpensive. I suppose one could just buy fish occasionally too.
Of course, some ponds are large, deep, and /or covered enough maintain a breeding population despite predation. I'm not talking about expensive showy fish, of course. Native species would probably be best.
