Help with pond losing water

yes there is a mounting plate. The pond guy said the same, the liner didn't go up far enough and he found an extra piece of the EPDM and fixed it..not quite sure how but it worked and no leaks overnight and waterfall flow is better than it's been in a long time! PS. I think I am now President of Mole Haters International! LOL

The thing about moles is they eat the grubs in the ground, you'll never get rid of the moles as long as they know you pond area is good eating. Those grubs in turn eat all of you plants roots stunting their growth. The way you want to get rid of the grubs, especially around a pond is to use milky spore. Milky spore is a microscopic nematode that literally eats the grubs in the ground, without cause you or your fish any effects, and kills them. without the grubs, your plants grow better, and the moles get hungry and just go away to where the eating is better, and everybody is happier.
