The active ingredient in the d-solv is Soduim Percarbonate (posted by someone in the d-solv thread) See if you can find it. I bought some of it, have used maybe 2.5 lbs cleaning 4 ponds. I just sprinkle it into the pond by the handful on leaves and muck. The tads, snails, frogs, dragon fly babies, fish have not been bothered by it. Works better with warmer water, have a net ready the leaves etc just raise to the surface within seconds of tossing it in.
