One thing I may suggest would be to ask @bettasngoldfish if she has any books on Bettas and if she can could sh supply your with the titles those all important ISBN numbers and Authors names .
It should help give you a greater crasp of ther health issues etc .

Our oldest koi is almost but not quite 29 with plus sign why is that , its added because you have no idea how long it was with the breeder for prior to you buying it , it could even be two years older .
