Help me build a pond!

Personally, I like old carpet as an underlayment. It can be found for free, and its really thick.

I've also heard of having an overlayment, which protects your liner from landscaping rocks or animal claws putting holes through the liner. I'm not sure if the 20mil liner would work for this though.

Good to know koi daddy. I will be sure to let you know if i need help with anything. Right now I am looking at different options that have been brought to light.

I live off of 54th ave right by the interstate.

Need to come check out your pond. Maybe give me some idea's! :)

hello and welcome and what friend a gift and a get lost all in one lol .Well at least with that size liner you can build a decent sized pond and your next expense is a pump and a lot of hard work sore muscles and aching back

I have heard this and don't know how true it is about using carpet but I've heard it can mildew under the liner and can cause problems for some who have breathing problems as the spores escape. also if a pond is being removed and it has carpet or padding for underlayment that you should wear a filter type mask so not to breath in the mildew spores as enough can cause serious breathing problems. Again, I just read and heard this and don't know if it is 100% fact or not but worth taking into consideration.

Mine is a work in progress but I have learned alot since digging my first shovel full of sand 5 years ago.

I know the area well. I used to live just down haines road off 32nd ave. By the casual clam.
Let me know if you need help or advise.
