Mickey Mouse Platy's. I started with 10 about two years ago. I probably have 500 or more. In the summer they have trouble with the frogs, small snakes and birds. They reproduce so fast that they are starting to lose some of the decorative shape on their sides. I am getting some neat color variations however. I will post some more underwater footage soon.

Nice Alvarero, you have a lot of pretty fish in there and love your tropical plants in bloom around your yard!

JW. I bought a small liner and made a temporary/permanent pond while I work on the bigger pond. I drained the pond and found a leak in the front corner. Must have been a rock that fell in. I still use the pvc liners, I can't bring myself to buy a 400 dollar liner until I finalize my design. I've read that I can clean the hole with some table salt and a little scrubber. I am going to buy some pvc sheet weld and fix the liner. Since we have all sand where I am I have recruited some family members to take out the liner and give me a hand reshaping the edges. I am going to attach some pictures for now. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the summer!

Here is a picture of the new pond after I put some rocks around it. I had one escape last night so I put the storage container top by the filter. The rest of the pond has netting over it. Figures the one part that wasn't covered and whoosh a goldfish jumps out. Note the shovel in the background.

I've been just fine Sissy. I am always inspired to work on the ponds as soon as school gets out. It makes the transition from the classroom to the living room much easier. I hope everyone has been doing well. I have a brother and a friend coming over tomorrow to pull the liner and patch the hole. I will get as much free labor out of them from 7 to 9am. I am very excited about trying to raise some Tilapia. This is uncharted water for me, so to speak. I'll take some more pictures as the day goes on. It will be tuff taking pictures while others are working. Maybe something my D.W. can do from the comfort of the deck.
