Sorry about your fish. I have orfes, too, and they are favorites in the pond.
Have you tested the water with liquid testing kits? These issues can be a result of poor water quality and correcting water problems will allow the fish to heal itself. So the first thing to do is to check the water.
Once the fish has truly bloated, with scales sticking out looking like a pinecone, it is very difficult to save. The fish is retaining water because its kidneys are failing. That is very hard to cure.
What size is the pond and how many fish are in there? Do the fish show any ulcers or injuries?
Has anything been added to the pond, any new fish or chemicals?
