Added a G-tek nano bead filter. While the bog works great . My pond with the remakes adding on to the pond my original location of my skimmer worked great that is untill I built the intake bay and now had water flowing in different directions. The skimmer was my only means of mechanical filtration.

So my solution was to add a large bead filter to the pond this way I could remove solids much sooner than when the built up in the bog. View attachment 162221

Now I have plumbed this as two units working together and also where I can separate them from each other in the event something went wrong. Both the bog and the bead can carry the pond by them selves. And I can byvturning ball valves divert the flow to one or the other or both.

Um... So how exactly did you manage to get this photo of the inside of the Iranian plutonium enrichment facility? Enquiring minds want to know!

No, but it wouldn't be hard to. I think I have plenty of beneficial bacteria, though, because we have 400 million frogs and regular duck visitors and the water always tests near perfect. Also, I used pond water and a few stones from the pond for the 20 gal hospital tank. Didn't change it for almost 2 weeks and never even got a trace amount of ammonia.

EXCUSE ME, SIR! I have 8 full inches of lean, mean frog devouring machine. But really, though, how do I teach this fish to eat some frogs?
yOU CAN TEACH THEM TO AT FROGS ALL YOU WANT THATS NOT HARD, WHATS HARD IS YOU HAVE TOADS NOT FROGS

10 more coming this spring. for the breeding program
Do you have pictures of the new fish that you bought?

And are you really going to expand the pond?? You need to start building ponds for others so that you get it out of your system! I can't wait to follow the progress of the next phase.

Even ODD balls have a Soft spot. This little guy was found tangled in the Heron net. Oddly enough this little guy did not give me too much grief trying to free him. Once I did free him, I brought him to the Mrs so she could see him as its not every day a wild rabbit trusts us. Once she saw him she wanted to give him a carrot and probably still being a little shell shocked i figured i'd put him down at the pond and he gave me a gift my heading out to Hobbit falls and taking a drink and a nibble. VERY COOL

Sad day one of my first fish and who was my largest fish fell to a Bald Eagle today. Very Hard loss.

He was the fish in the latest video with a bump on his knogen.
Guess what I'll be doing tomorrow night and this weekend! It's going to look like Charlotte's web over the pond.

I'm still amazed he was able to fly out.
GAME ON
Rest in peace ! Anubas

Sad this happened and hope you have good net set up in the making so it does not get your fish again!
