This is Hells gate as we call it. Anyone who goes over this edge will find the last obstacles before the cistern. The moss around the edges is some that I found that will grow in full sun just as long as you give it all the water it wants. As you can see it's growing along the edge of a stream here in my pond.

Spring 2021
Coming into its own and visitors stopping in for a quick meal.
continuing to tinker in the pond with some fine tuning. Just yesterday I made a small pool /bird bath below the log waterfall. The wife and I both love the look and within a hour a wren was in it and then today 24 hrs latter we got this visitor and he went right to the little bird bath of all the places in this pond. I was certainly shocked.
The pond is now entering it's 4th spring we still have a hard time believing it.

Yes it would appear one of my largest koi likes to chew on the log And will do anything to get to the next area where she thinks there is food.

Gorgeous. Dog looks like it's very eager to meet that duck.
The new pool at the bottom of the log falls had a wren use it for a bath within the hour of being built. thee following day finds a duck of all things enjoying the wading pool and today finds one of the largest bull frog i have seen in some time around here. Well i stopped being lazy and put away the cell phone and broke out the camera. Spring has just begun and everything is coming alive.
