how true so many people buy it because it says for ponds .I use sump pump hose 10 dollars and it has where you cut sections
The black spiral "no kinking" tubing for ponds sucks!
That is all.

I bought it a couple years ago, 1/2 off end of season....and I didn't know any better. I moved my 30 gal drum filter last night into the basement onto the water trough at the new house, the "rubber" hose cracked in several places. Thankfully I had enough good hose to re-connect it and get it running.

I bought it and it was hard to get a clamp on it right and it cracked and then spirals started coming apart .I have used sump pump hose for close to 6 years now and have yet to have to replace it .Still the original one in the pond .I bought another one for my stock tanks .

Ugh! I build how many perfect nest boxes for my hens, and one still has to lay under the perches. Don't I love going face-to-face with chicken poop as I limbo down to grab it.

Tired of retired distant relatives who have time to travel and visit distant relatives..... With the constant "When are you coming too see us?", "You guys should come for a visit soon". I'm still working, as is my wife, my daughter picked up a second part time job to acquire the things she wants. I just realized I'm giving up a week and a half of PTO because I didn't have time to use it and it doesn't roll over. Time travel isn't a reality for us right now, I wish they'd understand.
Then there's the not so distant relatives that you make time to see, but seems it's never enough... "Why not stay another day?" " You guys need to stay for dinner". People, please, I know you're just being hospitable but some people have schedules and like to stick to them. Think about the needs of your guests and try not to pressure them into 'another piece of pie'.

Geocachers!

For the past couple of months we've seen an extreme increase in the number of unknown vehicles on our road and the people were getting out and snooping around our fence line.
Normally we see one strange vehicle per month down our road, usually it's someone that's lost. The last couple of months we've seen 30 new vehicles/month with the people getting out and wandering around.
I couldn't figure out why - are they stopping to go to the bathroom? Are they poachers looking for something in particular? Are they criminals looking to steal some property?

Finally I spent some time looking around the area and I found a small cylinder tied to one of our trees with a list of people that had been there.
It turns out some idiot had placed a geocache item on our property and people from who-knows-where were exploring our property.
If I were a criminal, geocaching would give me a great excuse to go to remote areas to "check things out"

I contacted the owner of the geocache and told him I removed his geocache and asked him to remove the location from the data base, which he did....to 1200 meters down the same road. I contacted one of our neighbours to let him know. This neighbour isn't as "diplomatic" as I am, so he got into it a bit with the guy...needless to say the geocache is gone from our neighbourhood completely now, lol.

On the surface geocaching seems like a harmless game, but from our point of view it opens our private property to criminals looking for an excuse to be there.

One thing I hate is strangers snooping around, makes you want to get the guns out (in America) LOL... Once found a geo-cache on a hike where we stopped to have lunch, wasn't even looking for it.

That's terrible, Mitch. You would think he would have the decency to ask first.

.

We gave someone permission to hunt on our 55 acres, we had in NY. I saw him carrying in shovels, ect.. I went up into the woods, and he had trails painted heavily on all the trees. food plots, ribbons ect...

Insert facepalm gremlin here.
