Thanks, yes I'm very lucky with the options I have for rocks and wood etc.
As for wildlife, unfortunately my dogs keep most of the larger wildlife away, but we do get lots of birds, frogs and lizards which are really cool.
One of the dogs even likes a dip too and I'm thinking of digging another pond in front of the turtle pond for the dogs and my goose(soon to be geese).

The geese will dirty the water a lot! So if you like clear water, you’ll have to block it off where they can’t get it. I had geese, they could dirty water faster than any other critter I’ve ever had.

This pond will be just for the dogs and geese to play in and I'll build a bog type filter for it. I'm not sure about it all yet, I've got to finish the cod / catfish pond first.

I chucked some extra shade over the new pond today to help deal with the green water.
I find that generally it takes about 4 weeks here for a filter to cycle.
