That was the ones they delivered down by the road and the guy would not pull the truck forward like I asked so they were spread out and easier for me to get up the hill as they would be closer to each area I wanted to put them .No he left me with a huge pile in one spot and first had to get them off the road where some fell when he was dumping them .If he had done like i asked they would have been all in.Seems no one cares anymore

I did that a total of 4 truckloads in the last 2 years .Before that 6 years ago I did it twice down the other side of the driveway

I guess I need 2 more truckloads but going to wait on that because now they have raised the price because of fuel costs almost 600 dollars for 20 ton .I think i should get some gold with it .

Looks very nice sissy. So if weeds come up through the rocks you just squirt w/ some weed killer or vinegar?

I have a really heavy duty weed fabric that does not rip .I needed the water to go under the fabric and not under the rocks .I wanted the hill to stay stable and not slide like my neighbors hill .I do not have it at the very bottom as I wanted the water to run free and go straight into the ditch .I have 2 layers of the fabric 1 goes down the hill with spikes in it 12 inches into the ground and then the other layer goes across that to stabilize the rocks .I have yet to have weeds come through the fabric .The top where the rock starts is where i rolled up fabric for the bigger layer of rocks that are partially in the ground and the fabric is under the rocks there .I learned this a long time ago .I have loriope planted at the bottom of the short hill between the stones .

Looks like you've got it covered! I had a problem w/ junk collecting on top of and between bark on top of fabric and weeds growing on the top of the fabric and spreading their roots over the fabric stuck to it like glue. We ripped it all out. Now we have to deal w/ the weeds in the bark. Just pull them I guess and put down thicker mulch we make ourselves now!

mulch when you get it it always has weed seeds in it and rocks don't have that problem or at least they shouldn't .I never put this fabric under mulch and where i buy it say for under rocks or gravel and the label even says for under rock only .I never have put any landscape fabric under mulch ,but it does work great in the bottom of plant pots all crumpled up as it helps hold water in and even use it in the bottom of my hanging baskets as it keeps them from drying out fast .

Yep I have used it under rock and a few weeds after a year or so might blow in and grow once in awhile but pretty easy to just yank out or squirt w/ vinegar on a hot day. It does work great lined in pots in the pond for keeping the kitty litter or soil from seeping out the holes too.

The weed control fabric i get has what is called a weed inhibitor in it and also slippery so have to be careful when you walk on it .My son gets it from a landscaping place in NJ .Yep great for everything but what it is intended for .Maybe they have to think about how they market it .Though I do see a lot of landscapers around here still using it and swear by it .I did use it under the guest house to keep weeds down and threw gravel on top of it .

thank you and you know how slippery this stuff is when you get to the top of the hill with a rock and end up either both of you slide down the hill or one does
